The dual vocational training system in Germany spans many different fields. Many people in China tend to associate it only with “blue-collar work,” but that is not accurate. In Germany, the dual system includes both white-collar and blue-collar professions. Even civil servants and many leadership-level professionals have a dual training background—they typically start their careers through this system and progress from there.
It is very encouraging to see that Mrs. Yin, who has long been engaged in North Rhine-Westphalia, has returned to her hometown to establish Borussia International Consulting. I believe this represents a new platform for China–Germany cooperation, and I look forward to seeing even more fruitful outcomes from this bilateral collaboration. On the one hand, we hope that more German companies, especially those from NRW, will come to Suqian to develop. On the other hand, we also welcome outstanding enterprises from Suqian to expand into Germany and NRW. The goal is to truly achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
As resources in southern Jiangsu become increasingly constrained and costs continue to rise, northern Jiangsu—represented by Suqian—is entering a very favorable period for cooperation with Germany. Therefore, our government is willing to allocate significant resources, attention, and funding to promote relations with Germany. In particular, for German companies investing and developing in Suqian, we provide top-level resources and highly professional teams. For example, we have dedicated English- and German-speaking service teams, and we strongly support companies like Borussia International Consulting led by Mrs. Yin.
A major advantage of the dual system is that students and apprentices receive both theoretical education and practical training at the same time.
This serves as an excellent piece of first-hand material for studying the dual system: nearly 9.5 hours of learning per day, sustained over two and a half years. The diagrams and notes produced are extremely detailed.
After more than 20 years of development, there is now a well-established supply chain. Both the talent pool in China and the supporting supply chain have become highly mature.
